Temple of the
blue moon

The Temple of the Blue Moon was the first treehouse on the property. In designing the Temple, Pete Nelson was inspired by the classic lines of the Parthenon. An elegant bridge leads across a slope to the front door. Inside, walls lined with windows provide sweeping views of the forest and nearby river. The interior features two classic reading chairs, a writing desk, bookcase, handcrafted armoire, and a custom-built queen-size bed. The Temple also has a private balcony where you can soak in the sounds of the river. A small bathroom with a water flush toilet is just outside the door.

Trillium

The Trillium roosts sixteen feet high in a tremendous cedar tree. The first floor of this two-story treehouse is a cozy sitting room with two armchairs in which to nestle and gaze out into the forest. Soaring walls of windows (with a total of eighty panes) let in plenty of soft, natural light. A ship’s ladder leads to the sleeping loft, which holds a queen bed and, behind a curtain, a toilet and sink, and offers another sublime view into the forest canopy.

Rain is common from September–June and snow in the winter is uncommon at our elevation of 500 feet above sea level. Most of the trails in the Snoqualmie Valley remain open year round.

Although July and August are the driest months, most places here also do not tend to have air conditioning, including TreeHouse Point. Personally, we find our rainy climate the perfect compliment to being in a treehouse, because it makes you want to stay in and enjoy your room.

  • Yes! Pete Nelson and his carpentry crew have built many other magical treehouse resorts in the US that you can visit. You can find more information about them on our About page.

Other

  • For your security, we prefer to process gift certificates via phone. Please contact our office at 425-441-8087 to process your order. Should your call not be answered directly, please leave a message and we will return your call.

    Important notes:

    • Gift certificates typically take 7-10 business days to arrive, but can be expedited to you via USPS for an additional cost.

    • Visa, MasterCard, and AMEX are accepted.

    • We do not recommend gift certificates for specific treehouses, as guests can often experience challenges booking a specific treehouse for their particular dates. Instead, we would recommend a gift certificate of any dollar amount, which the guest may apply toward a night (or more) in the treehouse of their choice, based on their schedule.

    • The gift certificate does not expire, nor does it accrue any dormancy fees.

    • The gift certificate has no cash value and change is not given for any unused portion. Excess balance above the cost of a room may be applied to create another gift certificate for future use.

    • Gift certificates are non-refundable. Lost or stolen gift certificates will not be replaced.

    • The physical gift certificate must be surrendered as payment by the guest upon arrival.

    • The gift certificate is displayed in a cardholder with a To/From area, and a few blank lines for you to add your own message. We recommend that the gift certificate and receipt be mailed to you directly.

    • Please note that a 2-night stay is in effect year-round, as Monday/Tuesday, Wednesday/Thursday, Friday/Saturday combinations. Single nights are offered on Sundays.

    • Weekends, year-round, (Friday- Sunday) are reserved for events (use of the entire property) until 60 days prior. Each Monday afternoon at 2 pm Pacific Time, we open the next 60-day-out weekend to reservations, around any events that have been booked prior.
